Stoke-on-Trent is a large city in Staffordshire with a population of nearly a quarter of a million people. The city, in the West Midlands, is famous for its pottery industry and is considered by many to be the home of the industry.

The cultural options and nightlife in Stoke-on-Trent have greatly improved in recent years with Hanely, in particular, being popular for its restaurants, bars and theatres.

Stoke-on-Trent is situated in an excellent location for transport links. The M6 motorway is the closest motorway.

Stoke-on-Trent Railway Station provides train services on the Stafford to Manchester Line. Trains travel on this line from Manchester to London making commuting easier for local residents.

Local bus transport in Stoke-on-Trent is provided by Potteries Motor Traction and several other companies. National Bus services operate from the city to further away destinations.
