Liverpool has two Premiership football teams, Liverpool F.C and Everton. Liverpool are one of the most successful clubs in English football history and have famously won the European Cup on five occasions. They've also won the league title on eighteen occasions and the FA Cup seven times.
Liverpool is packed full of famous and popular landmarks including 2,500 listed buildings. Other landmarks include the William Brown Library, St George's Hall and the World Museum. Anfield and Goodison Park football stadiums are popular places to visit for fans to view the trophies, museums and club shops.
Transport links to Liverpool are extensive. By air, Liverpool Airport (recently renamed Liverpool John Lennon Airport) operate flights to over 60 destinations including Paris, Barcelona, New York, Rome and Berlin.
By rail, the Northern Line stops at five stations in the city. Lime Street Station is one of the country's most famous train station and travels to London in around two and a half hours. Other rail destinations include Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester.
