Bishop Auckland AFC is an amateur football team who are famous for winning the FA Amateur Cup on 10 occasions and have appeared in the final 18 times.
Transport in and around Bishop Auckland is well catered for by rail. Bishop Auckland Railway Station runs on the Tees Valley Line at the end of the line. The closest airport to Bishop Auckland is Durham Tees Valley Airport (approximately 19 miles away).
Junction 60 at the A1 motorway (approximately 8 miles away) is the proffered route to Bishop Auckland if travelling by motorway. Buses in Bishop Auckland are run by "Arriva" along with a number of smaller firms.
